Housed in the imposing Drimkinnon Tower the Aquarium opens a window on the life beneath the surface of our lochs, streams and seas. There are hundreds of amazing creatures to admire, from perch and pike to tropical sharks. New this year – Bonnethead Sharks.

*Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Aquarium*, situated at the gateway to the Highlands, offers visitors the chance to discover the strange and beautiful creatures from around the world’s oceans and our loch-side shores.

*Bonnethead Sharks* Come face to extraordinary face with our newest residents...from the Hammerhead shark family. A pair of Bonnethead sharks have joined the tropical sharks in our mighty ocean tank. These amazing and fascinating creatures use their spade-like heads to sweep back and forth on the seabed enabling special sensors to detect potential prey buried under the sand.
A special new feature entitled Predators will lead visitors on a guided terror trail to encounter the deadliest hunters of each different habitat…from the Highland loch to the clear blue waters of the Caribbean.

At the Seahorse Breeding and Conservation Centre, you are invited to discover more about the fascinating lifecycle of the many different species of seahorses to be seen here.

Walk through an amazing underwater ocean tunnel and come face to face with a collection of stunning sharks, rays and other incredible marine creatures.

A wealth of high-tech marine displays offers visitors the chance to discover a wealth of marine life of all shapes and sizes.

The Loch Lomond Aquarium is a journey that will take you on a trip from the mountain streams that supply the largest expanse of fresh water in Britain, through to the deep secrets held within the 'Bonny Banks' and out into the wonders of the North Sea. Also examine the feats achieved in the Clyde Shipyards and the effect they had all over the world in the Tropical Ocean Display!

The Aquarium will also be home to three Asian Short Clawed Otters, who will help raise awareness about the plight of the Scottish Otters. Also included in the centre will be what every aquatic adventure needs, touch pools popular with all the family, a bay of rays with regular demonstrations throughout the day. The climax will be a Tropical Ocean Tunnel, with a model of the sunken remains of The SS Sea King, built in the river Clyde. * * *Opening Hours:* Open from 10:00 every day except Christmas Day.
